Alternatives provide a range of therapies that are available to clients engaging with their worker.

A wide range of therapies are on offer and are given on either a one to one basis or in a group setting.

The therapies offered allow clients to experience and hopefully find the therapy most suitable to themselves.

These are some of the therapies on offer at different times:

  • Aromatherapy
  • Reiki
  • Indian Head massage
  • Beauty therapy
  • Acudetox
  • Yoga
  • Tai Chi.

The therapist is not here to diagnose and treat illness (your GP will do that), the treatments they offer should not be seen as overnight cures.

The effects of the treatment generally include: marked relaxation and a feeling of well being; improved sleep patterns; reduction of craving for the substance; reduction of withdrawal symptoms; a ‘clearer mind’ which promotes receptive, rational thinking and therefore enhances the benefits of counselling and group experiences.
