Job Title: Wellbeing in Nature Project Officer
Location: Knowetop, Castlehill, Dumbarton
Reporting to: Horticulture & Wildlife Supervisor
Salary: £13 per hour plus pension contribution
Hours: 16 hrs per week to the end of March 2025
Job purpose
To develop, promote, and run a pilot programme of group-based social and therapeutic nature-based activities to improve mental health and wellbeing at Knowetop.
Continue the two sessions a week, for adults on Mondays and Thursdays 11am to 3pm, with the option to increase the frequency or extend these sessions.
Key tasks
- To devise and deliver a programme of group based therapeutic activities using nature to improve wellbeing.
- To plan a series of suitable workshops led by external specialists.
- To promote the programme/ wellbeing group to appropriate partners and their service users, and the wider community of West Dunbartonshire.
- To manage enquiries about, and enrolment into wellbeing group.
- To manage the day-to-day budgeting of expenditure, in close liaison with the Horticulture & Wildlife Supervisor & the Finance Manager, supplying information to them in the required format on request.
- To undertake the necessary monitoring to meet the requirement of the funding agreement.
- To maintain accurate records relating to attendance, outcomes, experiences and obtain feedback from participants.
- To signpost participants on to any additional support as necessary.
PVG Scheme Membership is required, as is a current First Aid qualification.
